Acne

Acne is a common skin condition in which the pores of the skin become clogged with debris made up of dead skin cells and sebum (oil). Bacteria called P. Acnes move in and cause irritation and inflammation, resulting in white-heads, black-heads, pustules and in severe cases, cysts and nodules. Hormones sometimes increase the production and viscosity of sebum and other factors such as bacteria, cosmetics, oils, and detergents can promote blockage.
