Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy has a variety of applications including rejuvenation of the face and neck, cellulite reduction, and spot fat reduction. Unlike surgery, Mesotherapy is a painless procedure, requires no post-operative recovery time, no heavy bandages or girdles, and no anesthesia is necessary. Mesotherapy or Lipodisslove specifically targets these areas of adipose tissue and slowly dissolves the deposits.
How Mesotherapy works
Lipodissolve/Mesotherapy treatments consist of microinjections of natural extracts, amino acids, vitamins and a soy bean extract and enzymes. The treatments consist of a series of small injections into the target areas of localized fat. These are injected into the middle layer of the skin (mesoderm). The injected nutrients act to dissolve fat deposits, block fat accumulation, improve lymphatic drainage, increase circulation and tighten skin. This process occurs over a few weeks.
Procedure Description
Programs for each patient must be individualized for maximum benefit depending on their goals. Treatment visits usually occur weekly with 3 or more required depending on the area being treated and the condition of the body. Larger areas will require longer times, for example a patient wanting to reduce a double chin may see significant results in 3 weeks. However, treating a belly may require 6 weeks or longer. The appointment time is relatively quick with minimal pain and bruising.
Spot Fat Reduction- Body Sculpting
Mesotherapy is a painless alternative to liposuction. It is a highly effective treatment for fat loss and body contouring. Common areas for Body Sculpting include double chins, love handles, bra bulge, thighs, arms and tummies. Mesotherapy has several advantages when compared to liposuction.
Cellulite Reduction
Cellulite is a condition affecting over 90% of most post-pubescent women. Cellulite commonly appears on the hips, buttocks and legs. It is not caused by being overweight. Cellulite is fat, fluid and toxins trapped in the connective fibres of the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin). Mesotherapy increases lymphatic drainage and blood flow, and eliminates the fat in the area. Patients can expect their skin to have a smoother, more tone appearance. Combining
Mesotherapy and
VelaSmooth™ provides the patient with the best results in potentially half the time of a Mesotherapy-only treatment program.
Is this a new procedure?
Over the past 10 years, doctors in South America, South Africa and Europe have successfully used Mesotherapy procedures on hundreds of thousands of patients. It has actually been practiced since the 1950s, when it was discovered by French doctor Michel Pistor. It has only recently been discovered by North American Doctors as an effective treatment.
