PEEL TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

For 3 days prior to your treatment, stop using retinoids and avoid sun exposure.

Please cancel your appointment if:

  • If you have a history of problems with keloid scars (raised scars that grow out beyond the original site of injury) or other types of scarring of your skin
  • If you have facials warts or any current facial infection including active herpes
  • If you have used the Accutane in the past 12 months

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

You just received a controlled chemical microexfoliation (peel) treatment. Due to the nature of these treatments, you should not necessarily expect to “peel”.

For the next 7 to 14 days:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat. Do not go a tanning booth for at least 3 weeks.
  • Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer as your only skin care for the first few days.
  • Do not pick or pull any loosening or exfoliating skin. This could potentially cause hyperpigmentation and mild scarring.
  • Discontinue the use of any Retinoid product for 7 days after your treatment.
  • Do not have electrolysis, cosmetic injections, facial waxing for 5 to 14 days or any kind of facial treatment while peeling.
  • Do not go swimming for 3 to 7 days and do not participate in activities that would cause excessive perspiration for 3 to 7 days.
  • Do not apply ice or ice water to the treated areas.
  • Do not put your face directly into a hot shower spray. Do not use a jacuzzi, steam room, or sauna.
