Lip Enhancement
There are many reasons why people consider enhancing their lips. For some it stems from factors attributable to ageing; the loss of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid which provide structure, elasticity and volume to skin. Others choose to augment their lips to improve definition and/or volume. Sometimes it is about correcting asymmetry. Whatever the reason, Dr. Copeland’s injection strategy for lips is to provide clients with a very natural appearance.
Hyaluronic fillers are very effective in addressing these concerns. This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and provides immediate results which typically last 6 – 9 months.
Possible side effect include bruising, mild to moderate redness, swelling and, rarely, allergic reaction at the injection site. It is important to have the procedure performed in a medical facility. Serious complications have been reported but are exceedingly rare. These risks will be discussed with you, by Dr. Copeland, during your visit and prior to treatment.
