Tear Trough
What is a Tear Troughs Fill?
Hyaluronic gel, an injectable which replaces lost volume and maintains skin hydration helps to redensify eye circles, hallow tear troughs, and the horizontal groove under the eyes. Like other modern fillers, it contains Lidocaine (an anesthetic) in it to minimize patient discomfort.
As we age, we lose our fat pads just under the eyes. As well our bone recedes creating bigger troughs. If your tear troughs are deep set, you may require more than 1 syringe. It is important to note that this treatment is most often complementary to a cheek treatment. Your cheek volume should be healthy and not depleted as your cheeks create the base and structure for your tear troughs. If you are unsure if you are a candidate for a tear trough fill or need to volumize your cheeks as well, please come in a general consultation
The results are instant and typically lasts between 9 and 12 months. Dr. Copeland is the only injector at MD Aesthetics and has been injecting tear troughs for over 18 years.
