MOXI™ Laser Treatment
MOXI™ Laser Facial
MOXI is the perfect complement to any skincare regimen. It is a non-ablative 1927nm fractionated wavelength that targets water within cells to work with the body’s natural healing process. MOXI corrects pigmentation issues and improves the appearance of your skin’s tone and texture no matter the season or your skin type. It’s ideal for all patients who are just beginning their skin care journey or those looking for a light resurfacing option that can be performed any time of year.
How many treatments?
The number of sessions required depends on how much pigment is present as well as your personal goals. Most people start with 3 treatments over 3-6 months.
Will there be downtime?
Moxi treatments are customized to each person’s needs, meaning downtime looks slightly different for everyone. You can usually resume your typical activities the day following your treatment. For several days following your treatment, your skin will feel like sandpaper. You will see improved pigmentation and texture within 5 days following your treatment. Results are long-lasting and can be maintained and further enhanced with subsequent treatments.
What can I expect?
Topical numbing cream can be applied prior to treatment. We can also provide cold air to maintain comfortability throughout the treatment. You may feel a warming sensation as the laser is glided across the skin.
Postcare
Avoid direct sun exposure, and wear at least SPF 30. Swelling is typically the most noticeable the morning after, particularly around the eyes for the first two to four days You will also notice that your skin is dry and feels like sandpaper. The dark spots and bronzed appearance are caused by MENDs (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris). They are a normal part of the healing process, just like dry skin that will flake and peel off.
How long will results last?
The results of HALO can last for several months to a year, depending on the individual's skin type and the severity of their skin concerns. Maintenance treatments may be recommended to prolong the results.
