Controlled Microexfoliation,  A new sophisticated approach to peeling

A beautiful complexion is lying just beneath the surface of your skin and the classic treatment of chemical peels can be the fastest way there.   While peels seem like an old way of treating skin, they are more sophisticated than ever before.  That is why MD Aesthetics is introducing a new set of Chemical Microexfoliation Protocols (peels).

Peels can deliver certain benefits better than high-tech devices like fractional lasers. By casting off dull surface cells, peels can improve the appearance of the skin, minimize signs of ageing, brighten, and reduce hyperpigmentation.  Peels also work well with other skin abnormalities like acne.

MD Aesthetic's peel bank is made up of refined formulas and our approach to using them.   Our goal isn't so much to cause visible peeling as it is to infuse the skin with ingredients that diminish lines, build collagen, and improve tone with none to minimum downtime.  Gone are the days of just having Glycolic Peels at MD Aesthetics.  Our new microexfoliation bank includes 16 different active acids, and when used in combination, deliver optimum results in both upper and middle layers of the skin.

Peels can make your skin and skin-care product work better.

In minutes, acids lift away dead cells and trigger a lovely chain reaction:  As your topmost layer sheds, signals are sent to the living cells below to multiply and move up, to increase collagen production, to make more hyaluronic acid and to act younger.  A thorough sloughing also offers very immediate benefit: smoother skin that's both more radiant and more receptive.  Skin-care products perform better after a peel because there are no dead cells impeding their penetration.

They're low-risk and customized to your issues.

There are chemical peels that are safe to use on every skin color without risk of hyperpigmentation, usually a worry with darker complexion. Our ingredient bank includes 16 different acids.  Using low percentages of multiple acids gives our clients a better outcome with less irritation than a single acid at a higher strength.

The right peel can help acne and soften the scars that come with it.

Salicylic acid peels combined with lactic acid, and resorcinol, an antiseptic exfoliant, dive deep into skin to unclog pores while also skimming the surface to erode blackheads and fade post-pimple marks. Another advantage of salicylic acid: It lingers in the pores, where it continues to keep them clear over time. To improve pitted acne scars, we can target individual divots with a high percentage of TCA before applying a weaker acid to the rest of the face to even things out. This method beats most resurfacing lasers, plus there's little to no downtime and it's safe for all skin colors.

Nothing controls melasma better.

There isn't a permanent cure for the recurring sun-triggered dark patches brought on by hormonal surges (like those caused by pregnancy and the Birth Control Pill), but chemical peels (paired with at-home lightening creams, high-SPF sunscreen, and strict sun avoidance) offer the best fighting chance.  Lasers may make lofty claims, yet they're essentially trying to treat a light and heat sensitive condition with light and heat. That is why we don’t treat Melasma with lasers at MD Aesthetics.

We can now peel around the eyes.

The Ultimate Eye Corrector using 3% Vitamin A, in combination with Lactobionic Acid, Mandelic Acid and Salicylic Acid over a period of 5 treatments, a week apart, improves fine lines, eye-lift effect, and an even skin tone (works beautifully and safely on the hereditary dark circles created by piled-up pigment).  For all our customers we turned away in the past for dark circles, we can now treat with this great eye microexfoliation regime.
