BIO-STIMULATION

Lift. Firm. Regenerate. The injectable that rebuilds collagen for structure and strength — inside and out.

A collagen-stimulating injectable that strengthens structure and improves skin quality—used strategically for lift and contour, or diluted to firm thin, lax skin from within.

What is hyperdilute Radiesse®?

Biostimulation focuses on helping your skin rebuild itself. Rather than simply adding volume, treatments like Radiesse® stimulate your body’s natural production of collagen and elastin—key components responsible for skin strength, thickness, and resilience.

Radiesse® is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) injectable that acts as a microscopic scaffold beneath the skin. Over time, this framework encourages the skin to become firmer, smoother, and more supportive as new collagen and elastin are formed.

At Copeland MD Aesthetics, Dr. Copeland uses Radiesse® in two distinct ways, depending on your anatomy and goals:

Structural Radiesse® (Lift & Contour)

Used in its standard form, Radiesse® provides immediate structural support and definition in areas such as the cheeks, jawline, chin, and hands, while continuing to stimulate collagen for longer-lasting strength and contour.

Hyper-dilute Radiesse® (Skin Quality & Firming)

When Radiesse® is diluted with saline (and lidocaine), it becomes a thin, spreadable solution designed to tighten and improve crepey or lax skin rather than add volume. This approach is used to enhance skin texture, elasticity, and firmness across larger or thinner areas.

Results develop gradually. Many patients notice early improvement within several weeks, with peak changes appearing over a few months as collagen and elastin rebuild. Radiesse® is biocompatible and biodegradable, integrating naturally and being safely metabolized over time.

What areas can be treated with hyperdilute Radiesse®?

Hyper-dilute Radiesse® is used to improve skin quality and laxity in areas where crepiness, thinning, or mild sagging are present. Common areas include:

  • Cheeks, chin, and jawline (skin firmness and definition)
  • Neck (crepey texture, mild laxity)
  • Décolletage (chest)
  • Upper arms
  • Abdomen (post-pregnancy or weight change)
  • Buttocks and thighs (skin quality, dimpling)
  • Above the knees

Dr. Copeland will assess which areas are appropriate based on skin thickness, laxity, and overall goals.

What’s the difference between Radiesse® and traditional fillers?

Traditional fillers primarily add volume to shape or contour specific areas. Radiesse® does more than fill—it stimulates your own collagen and elastin, leading to gradual strengthening and thickening of the skin.

When hyper-diluted, Radiesse® is used specifically for skin quality and firmness, not volume—making it ideal for areas where traditional fillers would be too heavy or unnatural.

What happens during treatment?
  • Consultation & assessment: Your concerns and treatment areas are reviewed.
  • Cleansing & numbing: The skin is cleansed; topical or local anesthetic may be used.
  • Preparation: Radiesse® is diluted as needed for your treatment plan.
  • Injection: The product is placed using a fine needle or cannula in a fanning or grid pattern.
  • Massage & shaping: Ensures smooth, even distribution.
  • Aftercare: You’ll receive instructions and guidance on what to expect.

Most appointments take 30–60 minutes, depending on the number of areas treated.

Am I a good candidate?

You may be a good candidate if:

  • You notice crepey, thinning, or mildly lax skin
  • You want firmer, healthier skin—not just added volume
  • You are generally healthy and not pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have no active infection or known allergy to Radiesse® components
  • You understand that results develop gradually, not instantly

Dr. Copeland will review your medical history and prior treatments to determine suitability.
