HALO® LASER

Brighter, Smoother Skin In One Powerful Treatment.

HALO® combines ablative + non-ablative energy to refresh the surface and remodel deeper skin for brighter tone, refined texture, and renewed firmness—without traditional downtime.

HALO combines two laser wavelengths in one treatment — one to resurface the outer skin for improved tone and texture, and another to deeply stimulate collagen production and renewal. This dual action allows your provider to customize the intensity of your treatment based on your skin’s needs, lifestyle, and tolerance for downtime.

You’ll notice smoother texture, smaller pores, and an overall luminous glow as your skin continues to improve over the following weeks. Most clients describe a warm, “prickly” sensation during treatment that subsides quickly. Redness typically lasts one to two days, followed by mild flaking as new, healthy skin appears.

Whether you’re tackling sun damage, uneven tone, or early signs of aging, HALO is a versatile treatment that helps you achieve beautifully balanced results.

Am I a good candidate for HALO®?

HALO® is ideal for patients looking to improve sun damage, uneven tone, enlarged pores, fine lines, acne scars, and overall dullness. Most healthy adults without active skin infections or recent significant sun exposure are good candidates. During consultation, we assess skin tone, texture concerns, lifestyle, and downtime tolerance to determine if HALO® is the right fit or part of a broader rejuvenation plan.

Is HALO® suitable for all skin types?

HALO® can be safely customized for a wide range of skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–VI). For deeper skin tones or recently tanned skin, we may use conservative settings, pre-treatment skincare, test spots, or staged alternatives to prioritize safety while still achieving meaningful improvement.

How should I prepare for a HALO® treatment?

To optimize results and reduce risk:

  • Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for 2 weeks prior; wear SPF 30+ daily
  • Pause retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliation for 3–5 days before and after treatment
  • Avoid waxing, peels, or laser hair removal on the area for 7 days prior
  • Inform us of photosensitizing medications, isotretinoin history, pregnancy/breastfeeding, or a history of cold sores (preventive medication may be advised)
  • Arrive with clean, product-free skin
What happens during the treatment?

A topical anesthetic is applied for comfort (typically 30–60 minutes). The HALO® treatment itself takes about 15–45 minutes, depending on the area treated. You’ll feel warmth and tingling as the laser energy is delivered; integrated cooling and airflow help maintain comfort. Post-treatment balm and sunscreen are applied before you leave.

What are the benefits of Sciton HALO®?

HALO® uniquely combines two wavelengths in one pass:

  • 1470 nm (non-ablative) to stimulate collagen and improve tone
  • 2940 nm (ablative) to resurface texture and refine pores

This dual-action approach addresses tone and texture simultaneously—leading to brighter skin, smoother texture, reduced pore appearance, softened fine lines, and improvement in acne scarring. Many patients notice a visible glow after just one session.

When will I see results, and how many treatments are needed?

Initial improvements are often visible within 5–7 days, with continued collagen remodeling over 6–12 weeks. Many patients achieve significant results with 1–2 full HALO® treatments, while others may prefer a series of lighter sessions depending on goals and downtime preference.

What should I expect after treatment?
  • Days 0–2: redness, warmth, and possible swelling
  • Days 2–4: bronzing with tiny dark dots (“MENDS”)
  • Days 4–7: flaking and smoother, velvety texture emerging

Makeup is often possible by Day 2–3 after lighter treatments or Day 3–5 after deeper treatments. Aftercare includes gentle cleansing, moisturizer, SPF 30+ daily, and avoiding heat, heavy sweating, and active skincare for 24–48 hours. Do not pick or exfoliate treated skin.

What areas can be treated with HALO®?

HALO® is commonly used on the face, but can also treat the neck, chest, hands, forearms, and selected body areas. Individual scars may also be spot-treated. Your clinician will guide area selection based on skin quality and goals.
