POORLY DEFINED JAWLINE

Jawline definition with natural, balanced results.

A soft or poorly defined jawline can result from genetics (chin projection or bone structure), age-related volume shifts, skin laxity, muscle pull, or under-chin fullness. Common contributors include pre-jowl hollowing, early jowls, platysma activity, and changes in the chin–neck angle.

Our approach focuses on restoring balance—not exaggeration—by combining structural support, contour refinement, muscle relaxation, and skin quality improvement. The goal is a jawline that looks clean in photos and natural in motion. All injectable treatments are personally performed by Dr. Copeland, known for candid guidance, anatomical precision, and a conservative, no-pressure aesthetic.

Book your consultation

Consultations are aimed to be relaxed and educational, empowering you to make informed decisions about your treatment options.

AM I A CANDIDATE

You may be a good candidate if your jawline appears soft from the front, loses definition in profile, or blends into the neck. During your consultation, we assess chin projection and length, mandibular angle, prejowl contour, submental fullness, skin quality, and platysma muscle activity.

Most patients experience a sharper chin–neck transition, improved jawline angles, and a more balanced lower face—refined rather than overdone.

What we evaluate

  • Structure: chin projection/length, mandibular angle, facial proportions
  • Soft tissue: prejowl hollowing, submental fullness, skin thickness/elasticity
  • Muscle activity: platysma and DAO contribution
  • Context: goals, timeline, downtime tolerance, and budget

POSSIBILITIES

  • Sharpen jawline definition and smooth the prejowl area
  • Improve chin projection and the chin–neck angle
  • Reduce the appearance of under-chin heaviness (when fat is a factor)
  • Tighten and refine the lower face and neck
  • Enhance overall balance so assurance shows in motion and at rest

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Jawline & Chin Filler (Hyaluronic Acid or Radiesse®)

Strategic vectors are used to define the mandibular angle, blend prejowl indentations, and project or lengthen the chin where needed. Treatments are planned for structure and balance while preserving natural movement.

Belkyra® (Deoxycholic Acid)

For patients with submental fullness that blunts jawline definition, Belkyra permanently reduces excess fat cells and pairs well with contouring treatments.

Neuromodulator (Platysma / DAO)

Targeted dosing relaxes downward muscle pull along the jawline (often referred to as a “Nefertiti-style” effect), helping clean up jawline edges without freezing expression.

Ultherapy® (Micro-Focused Ultrasound)

Ultherapy tightens deeper support layers of the lower face, under-chin, and neck. Results develop gradually over 3–6 months and complement contouring treatments.

Hyper-dilute Radiesse®

Placed superficially to stimulate collagen and elastin, this option improves crepey skin quality along the jaw and neck without adding bulk—often used alongside Ultherapy.

Skin Quality & Finishing Treatments

MOXI®, HALO®, or NanoLaserPeel® refine texture, while BBL® HEROic™ improves tone and redness so structural definition looks polished and even.

Combination Planning

Most jawline rejuvenation benefits from sequencing:

debulk → scaffold → tighten → polish, timed to your calendar, comfort, and goals. You’ll receive clear aftercare and a straightforward maintenance plan.
