Am I a good candidate for MOXI®?

MOXI® is ideal for patients seeking early intervention (“pre-juvenation”), treatment of mild sun damage or uneven tone, early textural changes, and ongoing maintenance between more intensive treatments like HALO®. It’s especially well suited for busy lifestyles that want visible improvement with minimal downtime.
Is MOXI® suitable for all skin types?

Yes. MOXI®’s non-ablative 1927 nm wavelength can be safely customized for a wide range of skin tones. For deeper complexions, we use conservative settings and may perform test spots to ensure safety. Active tans are avoided, and your treatment plan is always adjusted to your skin type and history.
How should I prepare for a MOXI® treatment?

To ensure optimal results:

  • Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for 2 weeks prior; wear SPF 30+ daily
  • Pause retinoids, acids, and exfoliating products for 3–5 days before and after treatment
  • Inform us of medication changes or a history of cold sores (preventive treatment may be recommended)
  • Arrive with clean, product-free skin
What happens during the treatment?

Optional topical numbing may be applied. Treatment typically takes 10–20 minutes, depending on the area. Sensation is described as a prickly warmth and is generally very well tolerated. Cooling and soothing products are applied immediately afterward.
What are the benefits of MOXI®?

When will I see results, and how many treatments are needed?

Many patients notice a refreshed glow after a single session. For more meaningful improvement, a series of 3–4 treatments, spaced 3–4 weeks apart, is typically recommended. Maintenance treatments are often performed every 3–4 months, depending on goals and sun exposure.
What should I expect after treatment?
  • Day 0–1: mild pinkness and warmth; a “sun-kissed” sensation
  • Days 1–5: fine, sandpaper-like micro-dots that naturally flake away
  • Makeup is often possible the next day

Aftercare includes gentle cleansing and moisturizing, daily SPF 30+, and avoiding heat, heavy sweating, and active skincare for 24–48 hours. Do not pick or exfoliate treated skin.
What areas can be treated with MOXI®?

MOXI® is commonly used on the face, neck, chest, and hands, as well as other sun-exposed areas. With consistent sun protection, it’s an excellent year-round option for maintaining skin tone and quality.
