ULTHERAPY

Subtle lift. Deeper support.

Image-guided ultrasound energy stimulates new collagen at precise depths to firm and lift key areas (brow, jawline, neck, chest) naturally over 3–6 months, without surgery.

Ultherapy® is a non-invasive treatment that delivers micro-focused ultrasound (MFU-V) to well-defined tissue layers—including the SMAS (the same layer addressed in surgery) and the deep dermis. Guided by live ultrasound imaging, we place thermal points of energy that trigger neocollagenesis (your body’s repair response), gradually firming the skin and lifting areas prone to laxity.

Typical candidates have mild to moderate laxity—soft jawline/early jowls, under-chin looseness, neck crepe, or a heavy brow. A single session per area is common; some clients add a second 6–12 months later or do yearly maintenance. We often pair Ultherapy® with hyper-dilute Radiesse® (to improve skin quality/crepe) or small, strategic filler for contour—planned around your goals and calendar.

What areas can be treated?
  • Brow/forehead (subtle brow lift), periorbital support
  • Lower face/jawline, under-chin (submental), and neck
  • Chest (décolletage) for crepe and fine lines

We’ll map exact zones during your consult.
How should I prepare?
  • Arrive well-hydrated with clean skin (no makeup/occlusives).
  • Avoid significant sunburn or active irritation in the area.
  • If you bruise easily, minimize non-essential blood thinners (aspirin/NSAIDs, fish oil, alcohol) for 3–5 days only if safe for you—ask us first.
  • We’ll discuss comfort options (topical anesthetic, oral analgesics, cooling, nerve blocks when appropriate).
Is it painful? What happens during treatment (and how long)?

You’ll feel short bursts of heat/tingle as energy is delivered; intensity varies by area and depth. Most people find it tolerable with our comfort measures. Sessions are typically 30–60 minutes for a focused area (e.g., under-chin/neck) and up to 90 minutes for combined lower face/neck. Expect gel application, live imaging, measured passes at different depths, and immediate return to routine.

Am I a good candidate?

Likely, if you have mild–moderate laxity and want a non-invasive option with little downtime. It’s not a replacement for surgery in advanced laxity or for significant volume loss (we may recommend adjunct filler/biostimulators). We’ll review medical history (pregnancy, implants in the area, active infection/dermatitis) to confirm safety.

What are the benefits?
  • Lift/tighten along the jawline, under-chin, and neck
  • Subtle brow elevation and smoother chest texture
  • Collagen remodeling for a firmer feel over 3–6 months
  • No needles or downtime, with precise image-guided placement
Is it safe? What are the risks?

Ultherapy® is Health-Canada/FDA-cleared for lifting/tightening in specific areas and has a strong safety profile when image-guided. Expected effects: temporary redness, tenderness, mild swelling, or tingling days to weeks. Less common: bruising, transient numbness or jawline/neck nerve sensitivity, small welts, or rare focal firmness—typically resolving. We mitigate risks with live imaging, correct depth selection, and conservative planning.

When will I see results—and how long do they last?

Some feel a subtle immediate “tight” sensation, but visible change builds as collagen forms—most see improvement from 6–12 weeks, maturing by 3–6 months. Results generally last ~12–18 months (varies by biology, sun, and lifestyle). Many clients choose annual maintenance.

How many treatments will I need, and what’s the downtime/aftercare?

Most need one session per area; a second session at 6–12 months can amplify results in select cases. Downtime is minimal—makeup can be worn the same day. Aftercare: gentle skincare, SPF 50, and avoid intense heat/exercise if tender for 24 hours. Expect transient soreness to touch; no special wound care is required.
