UNWANTED HAIR

Long-term reduction. Smoother skin. Less upkeep.

If shaving, waxing, or ingrowns are running your schedule, medical-grade laser hair removal offers long-term reduction with minimal downtime. We match the device to your skin tone, hair color, and treatment area to deliver safe, efficient treatments—and calmer, smoother skin over time.

Not sure where to begin?

Every treatment begins with the right conversation. We’ll help you choose the most appropriate next step based on your goals, timeline, and comfort level.

AM I A CANDIDATE

You’re likely a good candidate for laser hair removal if you have unwanted hair, frequent stubble, razor bumps, ingrowns, or irritation you’d prefer not to constantly manage. During your consultation, we assess skin tone, hair color and thickness, density, hormonal influences, and recent sun exposure to determine the safest and most effective approach for each area.

Hair color matters: laser hair removal works best on dark hair because the laser targets pigment (melanin) in the follicle. White, grey, red, and very light blonde hair typically do not respond well to laser treatment, as they lack sufficient pigment to absorb the energy. If laser isn’t appropriate for your hair type, we’ll explain why and discuss alternative options where possible.

Because we use multiple advanced platforms—including Nd:YAG, Diode, and BBL—we can safely treat a wide range of skin tones and hair characteristics with precision. Treatments are quick and typically feel like brief snaps of warmth, with integrated cooling for comfort. Most clients notice progressive thinning, patchiness, and slower regrowth over a short series of sessions, followed by occasional maintenance to keep results smooth long-term.

POSSIBILITIES

Laser hair removal can significantly reduce dark, coarse hair growth over time, making treated areas smoother and easier to maintain. By targeting the follicle at its source, it also helps calm:

  • Razor bumps and ingrowns
  • Folliculitis and post-shave irritation
  • Persistent shadow or “5 o’clock” hue on the face or body

As hair becomes finer and more sparse, many clients find they spend far less time shaving or waxing—and experience fewer nicks, less inflammation, and a more predictable grooming routine.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

At Copeland MD Aesthetics, we don’t rely on a single device—because no one laser is ideal for every skin tone, hair type, or body area. Instead, we select from multiple advanced platforms to deliver safe, effective, and customized care.

Sciton Bare It™ (Nd:YAG 1064 nm)

Our go-to technology for deeper skin tones, tanned skin, or areas with higher melanin. The longer wavelength penetrates deeply to target the hair follicle while minimizing interaction with surface pigment, making it a safe and effective option year-round.

LightSheer® Diode (≈805–810 nm)

A fast, powerful workhorse suitable for many skin types. Particularly effective for medium-to-coarse hair and larger treatment areas such as legs, arms, chest, and back. Integrated cooling improves comfort during treatment.

Sciton Forever Bare BBL®

A gentle, even-energy platform best suited for lighter skin tones and finer hair. Forever Bare BBL delivers smooth, comfortable treatments with rapid pulses and built-in cooling—ideal for precision areas or clients seeking a more comfortable experience.
